Nazdar CARE118 UV Flattening Paste was created to be the next generation of matting paste for most Nazdar UV ink lines.
CARE118 provides the following advantages:
- Easy mixing for consistent printing
- Effective gloss reduction
- Clean, whiter appearance
- Little color change to the base ink
CARE118 UV Flattening Paste can be used in most Nazdar UV and UV-LED ink series.
CARE118 has a whiter appearance compared to the slight amber appearance of CARE59. CARE118 can be used in higher percentages with less yellowing effect than CARE59. This allows an ink to be flattened without compromising the color hue.
CARE118 UV Flattening Paste can be used in most Nazdar UV and UV-LED ink series. Do not exceed 20% CARE118 by weight; additions above 20% affect the cure of the base ink and may cause failures in adhesion, durability, and resistance.
Exceptions: Do not use CARE118 or CARE59 in Nazdar 1500 Series, 3400 Series or 2400 Series. Do not use CARE118 or CARE59 in Nazdar 4000 Series when thermal forming the finished product.

Adhesion should always be tested as adhesion depends upon curing conditions, age and manufacturer of the substrate. Adhesion may be improved when the substrate is cleaned with a suitable solvent such as isopropanol.
When using any Nazdar additive, it is imperative to test the suitability of the product before making a full production run.
