Pantone Expands Color Matching System with 294 New Colors

Pantone expands its Pantone Matching System (PMS) with 294 new colors. The additions bring the library to more than 2,100 total colors.

The update to the PMS catalog is the first since 2016, and Pantone says the new selections offer designers "unique benefits for every creative and professional need and an even more seamless process to transition from between physical and digital mediums." Key features with the new colors include:

Trend-Relevant Colors with Tighter Production Links: The addition of basic colors (neutrals, tans, grays, navy, blacks) allows for the additional "achievability of colors throughout the design process" while keeping up with current trends.
