How can I protect and clean platens for a longer heat press life?

Nothing lasts forever, but the better you take care of your heat press, the longer you avoid a breakdown. Be sure to regularly and thoroughly clean the upper and the lower platens. They should be kept free of dust and dirt as well as adhesive residue and ink.
