Quality Prints, Affordable Prices Bring Success in Any Economy

Efrain Yepes, founder of Affordable Signs and Wraps in Pinellas, Florida, has owned gas stations, convenience stores, commercial real estate and other companies,
But when the recession hit in 2008, he looked around for a business that wasn’t affected by market forces.  “When you go outside, you see four things: people, real estate, signs and cars,” he said.  “I decided to open a business that serves both signs and cars."
Yepes launched Affordable Signs and Wraps in 2010. Since then, he and his business partner have been producing signs and vehicle graphics to the great satisfaction of their clients.

Color Tips Series, Vol 3: "Seeing Color In Its Best Light"

In 2015, "The Dress" broke the internet—arguments ensued and friendships were tested as people around the world couldn't decide whether it was white and gold or blue and black. Ink Maintenance: Driving Your Print System

Ink Maintenance: Driving Your Print System

Emily Dickinson once said, “If you take care of the small things, the big things take care of themselves.” At most shops doing large-format digital printing, there is a calculated process for taking care of one’s equipment and supplies. It sounds like a minor detail, but it couldn’t be more important.
Much like owning a car, you want the best performance possible from your printer—you clean it, keep it fine-tuned, and fix it when necessary. You even feed it; as an automobile takes fuel, a printer runs on ink. But printer functionality is a little more complicated than simply pulling into a service station and squeezing out $30 worth of gasoline. A print system needs routine care, and when it receives the proper attention, it can be a sign shop’s biggest asset and money maker.
